Idea for improvement (Doesn't seem to be doing this already) is to checkpoint the log file every n MB. This would allow one to recover from a network dropout without starting over from the beginning.(if for example you are writing to a file on another server).
Ddrescue rewrites the whole logfile to disk every 30 seconds. I don't see how I can checkpoint it.
Please, explain what is exactly what do you want ddrescue to do. Regards, Antonio Diaz. _______________________________________________ Bug-ddrescue mailing list Bug-ddrescue@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-ddrescue
