I installed SUSE 8.1 which installs grub.  Although the install went fine, after rebooting I get a message "VFS No NFS Server available unable to mount FS via NFS trying floppy".  I am not trying to do root over NFS; root is on the scsi hard drive.    After contacting SUSE - the explanation I received is that GRUB does not work with RAID(hardware or software).  My system has a DAC960 raid controller and it is setup for RAID 1.

I did not seen any mention of RAID compatibility with grub in any of the grub documentation.  If indeed, grub is not designed to work with RAID, then it would be helpful to include this fact in the documentation.  Also, I would hope that this feature would be on the wish list for future enchancements.

Thanks
