Follow-up Comment #10, bug #15048 (project grub):

I found a person that had more or less the same problem and I solved it from
Linux.

You just have to delete stage1_5* files from /boot/grub/ folder and reinstall
grub with root (hdX,Y) setup (hdX) (grub-install copies again the stage1_5*
files !).

Once you have reinstalled grub so that stage1 loads stage2 directly ... grub
is no longer overwritten because stage1_5 is not deleted by windows
repartitioning.
