Scratch 1.4 is out, and has some great changes. Scratch can now accept keyboard input and store it in variables. This means that kids can write programs that prompt for your name, etc.
What would it take to get Scratch 1.4 installed on the kids' computers for this class session? I know there's a bunch of computers that are Grad Ready. Are they scheduled for another sanity check, or would I have to update them 1 by 1? Maybe this would be a good task for Noah, and some of the other newb volunteers that we have? Anyway, I'd like to see what it would take to get Scratch 1.4 on these computers. If not, I'd like to try to get Scratch 1.4 on the next round of computers and into the master image as soon as possible. I'll have some time this Saturday, and should have an updated installer by then, also. Thanks, --Nate
