[BYUMUG] OS Reinstall

I have a friend with a 2 year old eMac running 10.3 and it is really  
bugging out. I have never seen a mac freeze till I saw this one.  
Saturday I connected my 5 year old iMac to it through firewire and  
downloaded all the important stuff so that I can reinstall the os.  
The problem is that one of his kids stuck a magnet in the cd drive  
(or at least they think he did, they never found it) and the cd drive  
isn't being recognized. I need another way to reinstall the os. We  
have an external CD here at work that I might be able to borrow, but  
is there away to make a disk image a do it that way?
