Here is a suggestion about the "little" countries. Why not write
a travel guide about them all? Add Liechtenstein, Malta & Vatican City &
you have the 6 for Europe. But don't forget--since the last great wave
of decolonization in the world during the 60's & 70's, there are now lots
of countries the size of Andorra & smaller. Just a few, to illustrate
what I mean, are Islamic Republic of the Maldives in the Indian Ocean,
Trinidad-Tobago in the Caribbean, Fiji in the S. Pacific & Sao Tome &
Principe off the coast of equatorial Africa.
How do you get the information? Correspond with the Ministry of
External Affairs (European term) / Secretary of State's Office (American
term) for each nation. Also correspond with the Travel & Tourism
Ministry/Department. For sources of maps, nutshell histories, etc. there
are two sources, the United Nations & the big atlas producing companies,
like Rand-McNally, Hammond, etc. Another source for some of the tiny
nations is the big cruise ship lines. Still another would be the World
Bank & World Trade Organization, as some of them, like Nauru, have had
extensive dealings with those groups.
