Dear members,
             I am new to this group and I have been with NRCFOSS since
 May '06. For my first mail into this LUG,I would like to share my
FOSS.IN 2006,Bangalore experience here about the topic "What makes a
valuable contributor: social dynamics in F/LOSS" taken by Mr.Bernhard
Krieger on last sunday, 11.00 AM. For more details about him:

https://foss.in/2006/cfp/speakers/talkdetailspub.php?talkid=220.

This was the very good seminar for all the FOSS contributors.An
important notes from his last slide "What the FOSS peoples to do and
dont do". I mentioned it below.Not only me, almost all the peoples
agreed his points.

What to do:
-----------
* Translate the softwares (or) documents into FOSS.
* Organise the conference.
* Write the codes.
* Create/Administrate the F/LOSS Website.
* Design the user interface.
* ..

Dont to:(Very important)
------------------------
* Post most often on mailing list.
* Wins the most flame wars.
* Spends most time on IRC.
* Programs the lowest level codes.
* Show off most technical knowledge.

And "In,India we have no hackers and we lost the college students";
"We have more than 140 LUGs. But very few only in active.We need to
activate and collect it in a single group".These words refelected by
the most speakers in FOSS.IN 2006,Bangalore.
