Hello all, NRCFOSS conduct a workshop for Physics lecturers on Phoenix hardware / software framework, in association with Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), Delhi. Phonenix, developed as a project under IUAC, enables computer interfaced science experiments in Physics without getting into the details of electronics or computer programming. The 2-day workshop will be held at AU-KBC Research Centre on 5th (Fri) & 6th (Sat) Ocotber '07. Time::9.30 am Venue address:: AU-KBC Research centre, MIT Campus, Anna university, Chromepet, chennai-44 contact person:: A.S.Prakash, [EMAIL PROTECTED]
About PHOENIX: -------------- Physics with Homemade Equipment and Innovative Experiments It is a Hardware and Software Framework that can be used for developing computer interfaced science experiments without getting into the details of electronics or computer programming. Different sensors elements can be interfaced and accessed by few lines of Python code. Phoenix utilizes the power of personal computers for experiment control, data acquisition and its mathematical analysis. The instrument is designed using easily available components and the design is available for royalty free commercial production. Design supports hardware plug-in modules for future expansion. Phoenix is developed using Free Software tools. The Phoenix Linux Live CD contains all the required phoenix programs plus a collection of science and engineering software. Here the hardware basically working with Atmel mega 16 micro controllers.
