NRCFOSS, in association with Indian Linux Users' Group Chennai (ILUGC) and the Computer Society of MIT, is organising a free seminar on "Employment Opportunities in Open Source Software" on Saturday, 29th November 2008. The seminar, to be held at Rajam Hall, MIT Campus, Anna University Chennai, Chromepet, Chennai - 44, will be inaugurated by Prof. P. Mannar Jawahar, Vice Chancellor, Anna University, Chennai.
The topics will include : What FOSS is, How industry uses FOSS, How FOSS knowledge leads to job opportunities and How one could get trained in FOSS. The speakers will be from NRCFOSS, FOSS community, industry and training groups. The seminar is free and is particularly useful to final year students, passed out students and working computer professionals.
