Hello, First of all I want to thank Mr. Maraqa and the other legal experts who worked hard to translate the Creative Commons licenses to Arabic in according to Jordanian laws. We are very proud that Jordan is the first Arab country to develop CC licenses and to port them into its own legislation.
The translator used the term organization (منظمة) and deleted the term corporation (مؤسسة) that it used only for private and commercial firms under the Jordanian Corporate Law. (See "Changes for CCPL Jordan", Page 1 Line 6). However we can clearly see that the translated license heavily uses the term corporation (مؤسسة) especially in the last notice (إشعار مؤسسة المشاع الإبداعي) and not ( منظمة المشاع الإبداعي) (Refer to "Translated License" Page 6 Line 21) My own questions: - Should we use "منظمة" or "مؤسسة" to refer to Creative Commons? - Are these terms interchangeable? I am looking forward to hearing from you. Regards, Issa Mahasneh JUST Open Source Group http://www.just.edu.jo/opensource
