cfselect url bind

I have the following cfselect

<cfselect name="type" 
bind="url:lookup.cfc?method=getType&year={year}&make={make}&model={model}" 
bindonload="false" />

Is there a way to prevent the lookup from being executed until all the required 
values have been set?
