When I had work done I went w/ a contractor recommended by St Ambrose (the group that renovated the house). I wish I 'd seen this review (see http://www.yelp.com/biz/prompt-service-inc-pasadena) first as it almost exactly mirrors my experience (except possibly that I still have a problem).
