The standard orbit sander would work for 99% of what you will encounter.
The finishing sander is great for sanding clearcoats with an interface pad and
1200 or 1500 grit paper, but it makes the other work tedious.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] D/A Sander Again
What is the practical difference between a "Production" sander and
"Finishing" sander. For automotive work which would I use? Thinking about
the IR 4152 or 4151 -
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/IR-4151-or-4152-6-Ultra-Duty-Vacuum-Ready-D-A-Sander_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742Q2em153Q2el1262QQcategoryZ63693QQihZ022QQitemZ350052120324QQtcZphoto
Or do I need both? I know the finishing will leave a smoother surface and
the production will cut faster. Thx.
