HAPPY SPRING ============================== poems, poetry, poetics ==============================
Happy Spring By Monique Nicole Fox Happy Spring everyone enjoy the outdoors have some fun Happy Spring you all be thankful it is no longer winter or fall Happy Spring from me to you Smile and be happy God loves you ============== A Prayer in Spring By Robert Frost http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Fields/8616/easter/prayerinspring.h tml Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers in the flowers today; And give us not to think so far away As the uncertain harvest; keep us here All simply in the springing of the year. Oh, give us pleasure in the orchard white, Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night; And make us happy in the happy bees, The swarm dilating round the perfect trees. And make us happy in the darting bird That suddenly above the bees is heard, The meteor that thrusts with needle bill, And off a blossom in mid-air stands still. For this is love and nothing else is love, The which it is reserved for God above To sanctify to what far ends He will, But which it only needs that we fulfill. ============== SPRINGTIME By Sylvia Lavallee, [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.christianpoets.com/FOCP/library_results.php?poem=1007 Springtime heralds its arrival, With sweet bird songs on the air, Budding trees speak of revival, New life burgeons everywhere. Sunshine beams in every window, Warming hearts with tenderness Bathing Earth in Heaven's bright glow In God's warmth we're truly blessed Plants in great abundance growing, Push up through the earth with glee, On their happy faces showing, Supreme joy just to be free. Flowers flash a smile of brilliance, When admirers glance their way, Every breeze creates a new dance, Rhythmically their petals sway. Hedges bloom along the highway, As you travel mile by mile, Vivid blossoms cheer each pathway Clothed in beauty, dressed in style. So no matter where you wander, On life's journeys as you go, Never, ever, cease to ponder, On God's love in such a show. He created trees and flowers, Gave the means to grow and thrive, Nourished all with food and showers, So that each one could survive. Grow and bloom just like a flower, For we were planted by the Lord, After winter comes the springtime, After hardship comes reward. ============== A Song of Spring By John C. Sparks http://www.christianpoets.com/FOCP/library_results.php?poem=994 Green branches proclaim their Maker again As life adorns the scant boughs of the past; Small wonders unfold and splendors begin To awaken twigs numbed by winter's blast. Soon surfaced in red, fresh canopies bloom; Wee dogwoods explode to our eye's delight. Yet, they herald grief, time nether of gloom, When One bore the tree awaiting the night. But, brief this reminder of pain...then death, For quickly Christ rises; His song rebounds To increase the earth with vigor, His breath, And us as well--when the last bugle sounds. Come see God's beauty as touted by spring; See a future as pledged--in each new thing! ============== God's SPRINGTIME TREE By Gael Phaneuf http://www.christianpoets.com/FOCP/library_results.php?poem=433 I long to see God's springtime tree Green and adorned with blossoms free, The dark of winter finally past, Warmth and light returned at last. Hardy flowers bursting firm earth, Fragrance and color announcing new birth. Tulips awaken, emerging brand-new To lift silken faces for kisses of dew. Surely the Lord meant springtime's fresh start As a loving gift to gladden each heart. "All the ways of the Lord are loving..." Psalm 25:10 (NIV) ============== Spring Flowers By Sylvia Lavallee, [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.christianpoets.com/FOCP/library_results.php?poem=1005 Flowers in abundance growing Pushing up the earth with glee On their happy faces showing Supreme joy just to be free Flowers glow in richest color Heavy fragrance fills the air In harmony with one another Delightfully we stand and stare We should be just like a flower In all our struggles to be free >From the grip of Worldly powers That bind hearts in captivity ============== SPRING IS LIKE A RESURRECTION By Valerie Bauer Rousseau, [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.christianpoets.com/FOCP/library_results.php?poem=1427 Spring is like a resurrection When nature rises to perfection; And suddenly the frozen earth Presents us with a glorious birth. Each day -- new miracles to see. The seasons hold such mystery! I do not question why or how, But rather at God's feet, I'll bow. I'll thank him for a second chance To stop and take another glance. But this time from a different view; A slower pace to see things new. A fresh perspective ... free from the past. Treat each day like it's your last. The last day you could see a flower, Or visit with a friend an hour. Let God direct your life for you, And tell you what you have to do. Through His eyes, you soon will see A wealth of time just standing free. First take the time to spend with Him, And then you'll see your life begin To not be clouded by tomorrow, Or so much guilt or pain or sorrow. Your heart will fill with joy and ease, If God is who you seek to please. He'll meet your needs and leave time still, If we will simply do His will! ============== Springtime Sowing By Linda J Stevenson, [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.christianpoets.com/FOCP/library_results.php?poem=3491 While in the springtime of your life, Sow the seed and watch it grow. It is the season when the seed Will send root down deep below. Choose only seed that will flower Into blossoms beauty rare. Sow them closely so the weed seeds Cannot ever take root there. Water the seed with faithfulness, Cultivate with daily prayer, Allow the Son to shine on you, Breathe the Spirit's cleansing air. Then firmly, when the strong winds blow, Your strong root will fasten sure; The flower sunk deep in God's Love Forevermore will endure. ============== The Birth of Spring by Kathryn Seiley http://www.faithwriters.com/article-details.php?id=13468 The cloudless sky above, with its blue tranquility; The song of robins nesting in the boughs of budding trees. The smell of spring wafts through the air as flowers begin to bloom. A surge of newborn energy unfolds to vanquish winters gloom. The grass is greening, lush and full for all the world to see. Our God is bringing forth new life to share with you and me. As Passover yields to Easter, making way for Pentecost; Fulfilling the season's triumph, reminding us not all is lost. Sing a song to celebrate God's gift to us this day, Basking in the sunshine that brightens up our way. Inhale the splendorous beauty in the crisp clean air, Knowing with each breath we can exhale every care. Through Christ's sacrifice and victory, we've gained eternal life, To give us faith and courage throughout each and every strife. What a wonder to behold the birth of a new season begin, And feel the Holy Spirit fill us with peace and joy within. Sing a song to celebrate God's gift to us this day, Basking in the sunshine that brightens up our way. Inhale the splendorous beauty in the crisp clean air, Knowing with each breath we can exhale every care. We thank you Lord for reminding us with changes in the earth, Of the blessing bestowed through Christ, our Lord, of our rebirth. You've shown your love so many ways, but this is uppermost, To honor, love and serve Our Father, Son and Holy Ghost. ============== Spring Renewal by Richard Sherrer http://www.faithwriters.com/article-details.php?id=13155 Rise up O my love and come away with me, The winter is past and weather not gloomy; The flowers bloom as the birds are singing, At night the sound of the bullfrogs voicing; Spring comes throughout this land of ours, Let us rejoice and praise God for hours. This is truly a beautiful time of the year, When the sun melts each and every fear; Thawing of a frozen ground for to grow, All of God's vegetation in a radiant glow; A time of love and our faith have rebirth, As color returns to the face of the earth; A time for renewing strength and spirit, Crawling out of places where we inhabit; The time of year that we see all anew, As God keeps His promise for to renew; A time of year to restore joy and peace, As the hostile emotions begin to decrease; As the weather has changed for the good, Still remember the Lord as you should. ============== TIME TO SPRING FORWARD by Jo Ann Kelly For everything there is a time As seasons come and go. Our days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle, In this world down here below. One day, when time shall be no more, We shall enter heaven's gates. There'll be no more time, as we now know. Time for no man will wait. The weeks and months are passing As the sands in earth's hour glass fall. One day, there will be one last grain of sand. Then, time will be eternal for all. Where will you spend the future? Will you enter into heaven's gates? Will you hear Him say, "Well done, my child," Or will He say, "You waited one day too late"? Time waits for no one and always keeps on moving. We must be prepared for the coming of our Lord. One day soon, we shall stand before Jesus. We shall receive our eternal reward. We must redeem the time. Wise stewards we should always be. Each day has new opportunities To see souls redeemed, delivered, and set free. It's time to spring forward. We must work while it is still day. One day soon, it will be too late. There'll be no more time to pray. Every moment will be well spent If Jesus is leading the way. We give thanks for our Blessed Savior And the dawning of each new day. ============== Spring Has Sprung By Claytia Doran Flowers have started blooming, The song of the birds has been sung, Which only tells me one thing; It must be, Spring has sprung. Bright colors everywhere you look. Everyone is falling in love. It must be, Spring has sprung; As quiet as the wings of a dove. Frogs are croaking out their tune, Bees are buzzing round flowers, Which only tells me one thing; Spring has sprung it's powers. The flowers and trees, birds and bees, The love that fills the air ~ In case you haven't noticed it, Spring has sprung with care. ============== ------------------------ Yahoo!
