Thanks, Nancy - Another reader reminded me that he was in The  
Extempore String Ensemble, which is why the name was familiar to me.

I know Martin Best has or had a medieval group, but I'm curious about  
whether either of them played the French cistre.

Does anyone know either of these musicians? I think they used to play
in Paris about 20 years ago, sometimes with French cistre.
