Just run the utility on the server you are migrating to. You will pull the mail from the old server, then forwarding will look on the local server first, so no temporary aliases needed. I know that Imail 8.22 is old, which is why we are moving to SmarterMail. The problem/question that I have is does anyone know of a way to move just the emails in a user's mailbox from Imail 8.22 for a group? I have 2 domains that I need to move, each referencing AD for a list of users and I need a way to just move each users emails from one server to the other all at once as there are too many to do one at a time. I have tried the SM Converter Wizard for Imail but have not had any success with it. If anyone know of a way or has any suggestions, let me know. I will try just about anything at this point as this is my last hurdle before removing my Imail servers from service.
