Tomorrow, January 29, UCLA School of Law is hosting a conference on election law in honor of Dan Lowenstein, who is retiring from the law school. Dan is considered the founder of the election law field and one of its leading lights. The conference will touch upon a number of subjects of interest to listserv members, including campaign finance law, initiative and referendum regulation, election administration, and voting rights. The panels include an all-star list of public law scholars and political scientists, including Rick Pildes, Sam Issacharoff, Bruce Cain, Beth Garrett, Mathew McCubbins, Brad Smith, Nate Persily, Elisabeth Gerber, Rick Hasen, Gary Jacobson, Richard Briffault, Mark Rush, Stephen Ansolabehere, J.
