I had this same symptom with the last cooker kernel that supported XFS (that was 2.4.20.2mdk, newest kernels don't have XFS compiled in) as well as filesystem corruption.
Didn't report it since I'm not running cooker (just trying out kernels to see if 8.2 and 9.0 problems have been solved).
