Wolfe City Public Library received a $25,000 grant toward the completion of our exterior renovation last Fall. The grant is from the Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation out of North Carolina. The first step is to talk with your local Lowe's Center store manager about your project. Next you will apply on-line. (You will need the store manager's name, store #, location & confirmation that you have spoken with the manager.) After applying on-line let the store manager know so he/she can follow up on the application. The Foundation will call or e-mail you if they need more information. Once we received the grant, we also had many workdays where the Lowe's employees volunteered with our project. It has been a great experience. Hope this information is helpful.
