Dear Librarians, Texas Reading Club Jubilee: 1958-2008! and Game On! TTR.08 are winding down. I hope that your programs were a great success - and fun! Before you turn to other things, please take a moment to evaluate the 2008 reading programs and order supplies for 2009. 2008 EVALUATION FORMS The evaluation forms are very important. They are brief so that you can respond easily and quickly. The evaluation forms are on the Texas State Library web site at www.tsl.state.tx.us/apps/ld/trceval/index and www.tsl.state.tx.us/apps/ld/ttreval/index.php. Please either submit your evaluation forms online - or return the print copies that you will receive in the mail next week. Send in your evaluation forms by September 15, 2008 to be included in a drawing! First prize is $200 worth of new children's books! Second prize is $100 worth of new children's books! 2009 ORDER FORMS The 2009 Texas Reading Club theme Libraries: Deep in the Heart of Texas! The artist is Joy Fisher Hein, illustrator of Miss Lady Bird's Wildflowers. The 2009 Texas Teens Read theme is Time Twistin': TTR.08! The artist is Emily Fiegenschuh, illustrator of A Practical Guide to Dragons and many other popular titles for teens. Please order supplies for the 2009 Texas Reading Club and Texas Teens Read! programs NOW. The order forms are available on the Texas State Library web site at www.tsl.state.tx.us/ld/projects/trc/forms/order.html. Please either submit your order form online, or complete the print copy that you will receive in the mail next week - by September 15. We cannot guarantee that you will have the supplies you need if your order is not received by that date. The Texas Reading Club and Texas Teens Read! manuals will be mailed the end of January 2009. The posters and other promotional materials will be shipped in late March 2009. If you do not receive your supplies within a few weeks after the anticipated shipping dates, please let us know. Errors do occur; orders or shipments do get lost, and we do not know that you have a problem until you tell us.
