NOTE TO MY READERS
NEW NAME FOR
MY COLUMN
Dear Reader:
Five years ago I took time off from writing a column called THE ALPHA FILES, in
order to write a book. It was strictly an expose column about the POW/MIA scandals. I
had planned to begin a new column covering the whole range of government
deceptions and corruption as soon as I finished the book. Well, DID YOU KNOW is that
column, so I am officially changing the name of this column as of today to its
original title of THE JOSHUA
REPORT.
There is a very special reason for this name, and I want to quote from the
OXFORD [There's that NAME again!] COMPANION TO THE BIBLE edited by Bruce M.
Metzger and Michael D. Coogan and published by the Oxford University Press in 1993.
That's an appropriate year. It's the year that Clinton took his first oath and claimed
America as his personal property! That's also the year when I decided to begin
investigating him - which led to my writing a book.]
Anyway, this is what Gene M. Tucker, writing in the COMPANION has to say
about JOSHUA:
"...Joshua is the sixth book of the Bible. It is a narrative that reports how
Joshua,
following the death of Moses, led the people of Israel in occupying the PROMISED LAND,
apportioned it to the twelve tribes, and led them in the renewal of their covenant with
YAHWEH...At the beginning, the people stand on the edge of the land, poised to take it,
and in the end they are in the land, making a covenant with their God..."
[There are many parallels which I will point out from time to time. We will
begin
with the settling of our country. When the pilgrims first arrived here, they considered
America the new "PROMISED LAND." Joshua and the twelve tribes equalled thirteen -
the number of the original colonies who set the political and spiritual perimeters for
their new "PROMISED LAND." Like the settlers of Canaan, the original settlers "stood on
the edge of the land" [in their case, offshore] and "made a covenant with their God."
Unlike the Canaanites, however, the Pilgrims did not wait until they were on land. They
made their covenant with God, while still on board ship:
"...Although originally headed for Virginia, the ship carrying the pilgrims,
the
MAYFLOWER, is blown hundreds of miles off course and into the peninsula of Cape
Cod...After tides and winds allow them to go no farther, the group feels Providence has
led them to this spot. Before disembarking...Deacon Carver, Elder Brewster, and William
Bradford decide to put a new plan for a civil government BASED ON CHRISTIAN
PRINCIPLES on paper:
"IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN. WE WHOSE NAMES ARE
UNDERWRITTEN...HAVING UNDERTAKEN, FOR THE GLORY OF GOD AND ADVANCEMENT
OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH AND HONOR OF OUR KING AND COUNTRY, A VOYAGE TO
PLANT THE FIRST COLONY IN THE NORTHERN PARTS OF VIRGINIA."

Tucker continues: "...[Joshua's] final editors...wrote during the BABYLONIAN
exile, to interpret that disaster for those who had experienced it...The period of
Joshua
was the last era of harmony, when an obedient people experienced the fulfillment of the
promise of the land...In this scheme, the book of Joshua stresses the importance of the
land as a divine gift, addressed finally to a people that has lost that
inheritance...The
land belongs, ultimately, to the LORD, and the people hold it in trust as an
inheritance.
One message of the book is that the proper social structure for maintaining that trust
is
that of the family and the tribe. Land, therefore, is not a commodity to be traded."
[In Revelation 17, verse 5, John speaks of "...MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. In chapter 18, he is
shown the FALL of BABYLON - a fall THAT WILL TAKE ONLY ONE HOUR. The only
country the description of this new BABYLON fits is America! Believe me, when I tell
you
we are indeed at the end of "the last era of harmony" in this country and on this
earth.
We are no longer "an obedient people" and we are no longer "experiencing the
fulfillment of the land as a divine gift," for we are now "a people that have lost that
inheritance." Sadly, we did not "hold [the land] in trust as an inheritance." We
traded it
to the LUCIFERIANS, in exchange for promises of money. In the same way we traded
away our "proper social structure...of the family and the tribe" for a welfare state,
controlled by the BEAST and his Princes on CAPITOL HILL, WALL STREET and in the
EUROPEAN UNION.]
Tucker also raises some interesting questions: "...To what extent can the
people
of Israel adopt the religious and cultural patterns of the Canaanites? The Deuteronomic
traditions argued vigorously that ANY COMPROMISE WITH FOREIGN RELIGIONS AND
CULTURES WAS A BETRAYAL OF THE COVENANT AND WOULD LEAD ULTIMATELY TO
RUIN..."
[Do you remember the exact promisory words of the pilgrim's covenant: "FOR
THE GLORY OF GOD AND ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH AND HONOR OF
OUR KING AND COUNTRY..." Nowhere in there did it mention Allah, Buddah, Satan, etc.
This was a covenanted country - founded as a CHRISTIAN nation. Quite simply, WE
BROKE OUR COVENANT WITH OUR CREATOR.] Tucker points this out in the COMPANION:
"Another theme that runs through the book [Joshua] is the relationship between
obedience and blessing. Although Israel receives the land as an unmerited gift...she
will
remain in the land and enjoy its fruits SO LONG AS THE PEOPLE ARE FAITHFUL TO THE
COVENANT...Above all, this relationship between obedience and blessing is a corporate
rather than an individualistic one...the people as a whole may suffer for the sins of
some
of its members."
May God bless this report and hearing our prayers, bless our precious united
states of America once more! I hope to see y'all next week - same schedule - when the
