NATO, western democracies, and now Eastern European countries are more and
more involved in war in Yugoslavia. There is an enormous military power,
propaganda, and billions of dollars wasted in battle over the “worthless and
unproductive” peace of Balkans land. The small war going on for centuries
between Christian Serb and Moslem Albanian become an international issue. It
must be more in this war -- conspiracy. Please e-mail your theory for this

Theory #1: There is no conspiracy. This is an “humanitarian war” to stop the
ethnic cleansing, and make this region stable. The strike blew out of the
proportions because NATO didn’t achieve any of the goals, and can not afford
to loose.

Theory #2: James Hooper, executive director of the Balkan Action Council at
the US government, said: "Accept that the Balkans are a region of strategic
interest for the United States, the new Berlin if you will, the testing
ground for NATO's resolve and US leadership. [...]" Thanks to Kosovo, the
NATO can eventually control Caspian oil pipeline routes between the Black
Sea and the Adriatic, and to ensure its hegemony over the Eurasian land
mass.

Theory #3: NATO's real target is Russia because it is the world's largest
country with the world's largest untapped natural resources. Russia still
has an arsenal of nuclear missiles, making it potentially a very dangerous
country. The victory over Yugoslavia is absolutely essential if NATO is to
represent the strength and resolve of the western powers. If NATO cannot
crush small, defenseless Yugoslavia, what chance will it have of crushing
Russia? All of this may take World War III to accomplish, but that's what
world wars are supposed to do: remake the map of the world.

Theory #4: Clinton is using the conflict to cover the series of
administration scandals. He is defining his legacy.
