the Party Convention WAS a "breaking news" event,
but no longer.

I personally believe this is an important topic, worthy of our discussion. I am interested to learn, if UC people put a different spin on convention broadcasts than other provincials. However, with constant complaints about what should be posted to which list and this being the beginning of a new month, might everyone be better served if this was moved to the culture list?

I know that some people will be alarmed at having their reality cross contaminated by Bender's reality, but its not as if you are being buried alive in UC cockroaches.

There are a lot of issues besides party politics to be addressed, including the economics and politics of broadcasting, and how each candidate will influence the future regulatory powers of the FCC.

In addition, are Kerryâs new poll numbers nothing more than a dead cat bounce? Will the increasing polarization of the Partiesâ faithful result in a new Big Bang in the universe of American politics?

Probably more salient and achievable in your lives is determining the editorial content of the various purple.com listservs. Look at MajorCool (https://list.purple.com/purple-bin/majordomo, answer yes, yes, and enter your e-mail address). How many lists can the community effectively use? Please, post your thoughts.

For those of you seeking to escape your summer doldrums, the Democratic Partyâs platform can be read at: http://a9.g.akamai.net/7/9/8082/v001/www.democrats.org/pdfs/2004platform.pdf. I am confident that Matt will post to the Culture List his partyâs winning platform.

So, in response to Bender, what should we take to Culture?
