avocado just sits
at the window and stares
waiting for pizza and
gasping for air
half a banana
a dirty old fish
smells like chunk tuna
an elegant dish
in the rotunda
no chilidogs there
no beer and no mustard
but lots of green hair
the party on pine street
kept everyone up
the party on walnut
it just really sucked
my hands on my wallet
my fingers on fire
unbridled credenzas
the pentecost choir
a can of grape soda
a whiff of cocaine
come sit by my pillow
we'll watch while it drains
