St. Mary's Church, Hamilton Village, the Episcopal Church at Penn is proud to continue Sunday Night Jazz at St. Mary’s in September featuring of original jazz compositions.

The Thomas B. Razler Quartet will be featured on September 5. Thomas B. Razler has recently returned to the Philadelphia area after a number of years performing and teaching in Boston. A superb tenor saxophonist, Mr. Razler studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, and has toured with such groups as the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. He now leads a quartet that features traditional and modern jazz with original arrangements.

On September 12 the Steve Giordano Spacetet will return to celebrate the completion of the group's latest recording, a collection of original works designed to reflect the introspection and sensitivity for which the group is known. The Steve Giordano Spacetet will play our Second Sunday at St. Mary’s series throughout the fall featuring local musicians.

Matt Davis's Aerial Photograph will join the stage on September 19.  Guitarist and composer Matt Davis formed Aerial Photograph in the Autumn of 2001.  The group began as a traditional string quartet with guitar, bass, drums and over the past several years, has evolved to include trombone, flugelhorn, tenor, soprano and clarinet.  The sound of the music is an amalgamation of jazz, classical, various ethnic musical traditions and pop music.  Through all of these varied influences comes something truly beautiful and unique.

On September 26 the Ben Edwards Trio will perform their ultra-hip mutant hybrid of jet age jazz smoldering Latin and classic punk anthems.  The Ben Edwards Trio is a must see group.

All concerts are in the Sanctuary at 7 pm. $5 donation at the door is requested. Refreshments will be served.  All are welcome! For further information, please contact Alison Williams at 215-386-3916 or [EMAIL PROTECTED].
