Here are two classes I am offering at the University City Arts League that you might be interested in: Painting for the Beginner Mon. 6-7:50 PM We will explore basic issues of color and value as well as how to make the paint “behave” as you wish. Painting from still-life setups under controlled lighting. Emphasis placed on color, composition, and paint quality above accurate rendering of subjects. Students encouraged to “paint outside the lines” and move at their own pace. Materials discussed in first class. Ink and Wash Drawing Mon. 8-9:50 PM A class on the use of ink wash as an expressive drawing medium. Students will explore various ways of applying the ink (brush, pen, Chinese pen), and utilize both black and toned inks. Covers both abstract and representational drawing, with subjects ranging from the figure and landscape to geometric patterns and shapes. Materials discussed in first class. -Edward Epstein ---- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to the list named "Culture."
