Here's what's happening at the Annenberg Center... PHILADELPHIA PRESENTING PROJECT The Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to build partnerships within the community through the Philadelphia Presenting Project, a new program funded by the Virginia S. Mulconroy Fund of The Philadelphia Foundation. The Project provides Philadelphia-area performing artists, performing arts organizations and community groups with program-related subsidies supporting their performances at the Annenberg Center. Participants were selected on a competitive basis, chosen by an outside panel of performing arts experts. Archedream is one of four organizations participating this season. - - - - - Archedream THE POET'S DREAM Wednesday, January 26 through Saturday, January 29 @ 7:30 pm; Sunday, January 30 @ 3:00 pm Studio Theatre of the Annenberg Center Intricately detailed, brilliant, neon-colored costumes lit with black light create an amazing visual experience unlike any you have seen before in this show about a mute poet who is born into a world of War and Confusion and endeavors to attain his voice. A FREE SPIKE LEE - TERENCE BLANCHARD FILM FESTIVAL In conjunction with Terence Blanchard's March 4 performance and the Center for Africana Studies presentation of Spike Lee on February 2, Penn Presents is pleased to present "A Spike Lee-Terence Blanchard Film Festival" featuring pre-show lectures presented by a roster of noted film scholars and musicians. The lectures and films are open to the public and admission is free. No tickets are required and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The films will be shown in the intimate Studio Theatre on the lower level of the Annenberg Center.
