At the demo today, there was a novel corps of young ladies in punkish attire, carrying pink and black pom-poms, doing cheerleader routines and chanting "1-2-3-4 We don't want your fucking war" and other nasty bits which I didn't quite catch. I thought it added a nice touch to the march, a cheer squad something I don't remember having seen at the old protest marches of the sixties.
