No, Lisa, you, Merriam and Webster are dead wrong! I was somewhat coarsely reminded by a a handful of subscribed folks that culture has to do with which bands are playing in which bars or halls or when like-minded folks plan on getting together to discuss things they all agree on. That and discussion of living material in prepared nutrient media.
