GTMBA at the Rotunda tonite. Wasn't able to see the whole show, but some hilites:

Charles Cohen and Joe Lentini on homemade machines with lots of wires, gears, and footpedals. Their music is like some Baptist missionary in the Brazilian rainforest fiddling with his short wave radio listening for a connection to the Almighty and then it starts coming on but in the end you aren't sure if it's native tom-toms, static, or some huge motherfucking Amazonian woodpecker. Or a wrong number from Outer Mongolia.

The Great Quentini blowing some mindblowing chants on the flat Tibetan blowdrum.

Orbital Decay, with the movie "Interdimensional Gateways", accompanied by live guitar and synthesizer. For a moment I thought somebody had dropped a tab of mescaline, make that 2000 tabs, on the wall and for an hour they gave new meaning to the word "psychedelic." I just wish ole Tim Leary had been alive to see it. He gave a multimedia show in Chicago once back in the sixties titled "The Life of the Buddha", which was like handcranked radio compared to this stuff. It must have lasted several hours. Very intense, and um, orgasmic. Everything you always wanted in a hallucinogenic only much much better.
