The logical way people expects a filter in a subform works is filtering in 
master form too, because people uses it to find what master records contains 
selected slave records in the subform. Currently Base shows master records that 
have no match in subforms records.
I think in previous versions that made forms with Write this worked well.
This feature can't be found in MS Access, but can in Lotus Approach.
