Anyone interested in talking about RDA and application profiles in Moscow? Feel free to contact this person! I won't have the time myself.

--- Begin Message ---Hi Mikael, I am trying to set up a session on RDA for the IAML conference in Moscow (28.vi - 2.vii.2010) and have been looking for a third paper by someone who can give a view of RDA application profiles -- why they are being created, how they will operate, the relationship with the wider metadata community ... So far I have one confirmed speaker, Daniel Paradis (Montréal) on the cataloguer's view of RDA especially in relation to music, and I am trying also to get a system supplier's point of view from the implementation angle. After having spotted your RDA-DCAM presentation at the British Library in 2007 I wondered if you might either be the person that I am looking for or maybe you can suggest someone else who might be, perhaps based in Russia. IAML conferences rely on papers from individuals who are self-funded or able to arrange institutional funding in order to keep conference costs affordable. Details of the conference can be found at www.iamlcongress2010.ru/index.php?id=28&slang=en and some information about IAML at www.iaml.info Best wishes, Antony -- Antony Gordon Chair, IAML Cataloguing Commission British Library Sound Archive 96 Euston Road London NW1 2DB United Kingdom tel: +44 20 7412 7412 fax: +44 20 7412 7441 email: antony.gor...@bl.uk
