Apologies for cross-postings -- The 2010 SAA (Society of American Archivists) Research Forum will take place on August 10, 2010 from 9am - 5pm during the SAA Annual Meeting in Washington DC. http://www.archivists.org/ SAA launched the Research Forum in 2007 to provide an opportunity to discuss and share information about research initiatives with relevance for archives and records management. Researchers, practitioners, educators, students, and the curious across all sectors of archives and records management are welcome to participate. Abstracts (250 words or less) should be submitted by May 3, 2010 to researchfo...@archivists.org.. Proposals may indicate a preference for a short-platform presentation (10 minutes - e.g., for individual researchers and preliminary results), a longer platform presentation (30 minutes - e.g., for team research projects, complex or final results), and/or a poster session. Submitters will be notified of acceptance by the end of June (prior to the earlybird SAA Annual Meeting registration deadline on July 6). Registration for the Research Forum is included in the annual meeting registration fee or is $50 to attend only the Research Forum ($25 for students). On August 9, SAA will also offer a one-day Research Skills workshop providing tips and advice on conducting research.
