Hi, Christian,
we did the right thing(TM) ;) yesterday I asked an Apple vendor and I was told that
Apple now ships qwerty-it (i386/it) keyboards

and that *every* usb Italian (i.e.qwerty-it)

keyboard will work with Apple hardware -localized for Italy.

Furthermore I was told that now azerty and qzerty keyboards are no longer shipped with apple hardware.

Thank you for closing the bug.
Thanks to ppc-Italian mailing list for support ;-)

Have you tried that it does The Right Thing in the installer?

This should be tested with the daily builds from http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer
