There is an issue with this, that I see no easy solution to - I would
therefore like everybodys input on how to solve the issue most
effectively.
The problem is that I have no way of doing a validity check of the
locale provided (in this case sme_{NO,SE}) myself, and I am therefore
reluctant to ask TDC to sign any release of OpenSign containing this
locale. Consider the situation where "Sign" has been translated into
"Cancel" and vice versa to understand my position.
There are (at least) two possible solutions to the issue, but none of
them seem very appealing to me:
1) We ask contributors to send us a written statement from a
trustworthy party stating the correctness of the translation prior to
including the translation into the source tree
2) Contributions to OpenSign that we are not capable of validating are
left out of the signed (binary) version of OpenSign. People who need
these parts must download the source distribution and sign the applet
themselves
Feel free to present alternative solutions and/or comment on the
solutions listed above ..
