Hi Carsten, I can't say much more then this a translation that we paid for, my knowledge of samigelle is like zero. But we've used one of the recommended translators from http://samit.no/ to be exact we used ABC-Company A/S. I've e-mail them to see if they have had the same issue before and how they solved it. Would it be okay if I could get some papers stating that this was a ok translation, but here again the question would be what kind of papers is trusted? But it's not possible that ABC-Company A/S has a answer to this, since it's recommended by SamIT.

Thanks Tommy. There is an issue with this, that I see no easy solution to - I would therefore like everybodys input on how to solve the issue most effectively. The problem is that I have no way of doing a validity check of the locale provided (in this case sme_{NO,SE}) myself, and I am therefore reluctant to ask TDC to sign any release of OpenSign containing this locale. Consider the situation where "Sign" has been translated into "Cancel" and vice versa to understand my position. There are (at least) two possible solutions to the issue, but none of them seem very appealing to me: 1) We ask contributors to send us a written statement from a trustworthy party stating the correctness of the translation prior to including the translation into the source tree 2) Contributions to OpenSign that we are not capable of validating are left out of the signed (binary) version of OpenSign. People who need these parts must download the source distribution and sign the applet themselves Feel free to present alternative solutions and/or comment on the solutions listed above .. -- Carsten Raskgaard Tux IT - OpenOCES consultancy http://www.tuxit.dk _______________________________________________ Developer mailing list [email protected] https://www.openoces.org/mailman/listinfo/developer _______________________________________________ Developer mailing list [email protected] https://www.openoces.org/mailman/listinfo/developer
