Not sure if this has changed recently, but I quoted what the registry previously has told us.
I did do a spot check on a few domains just now and you do seem to be correct, I can't find one that is slated for drop less than 6 days after the last change of status date. For example, a domain placed into this status on a Wednesday will drop the following Tuesday. The best thing to do is buy a "snap back" from Snap Name.
