using email messages as reminders for events in iCal?

Hi all, in trying to do this, I get a dialog that says that I have to
have a card in my address book with my own email address, which I have
set up already, but I'm still getting this, as if I hadn't set that
up. Any way to fix this? So that I can get that working?
