Message 2 ------- Forwarded message follows ------- From: mack reed <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: One more ... Call for Proposals of New Conferences with dg.o2006 Date sent: Thu, 5 May 2005 16:48:56 -0700 Hi, Steven: Here's one more that may be of even greater interest, as it concerns an opportunity for new gatherings of e-gov-interested people. Let me know if you feel comfortable forwarding this to the list: ______________________ Dear Colleagues: I would like to call your attention to an upcoming change in the annual National Conference on Digital Government Research that may be of great interest to you and others in your DG-related discipline. Beginning next year, the conference will expand its scope by encouraging other conferences, symposia and workshops in fields related to Digital Government research to meet concurrently with dg.o2006. This annual gathering will offer an unparalleled opportunity for collaboration and education among the many researchers, scholars and government practitioners involved in the DG-related fields of computer science, policy studies and e-government practice. With this in mind, we invite you to consider organizing and launching a new one-time or annual gathering or holding a previously planned one in conjunction with dg.o2006. Your meeting may take the form of a workshop, symposium or full-fledged conference; it could last from half a day to 3 days, or even longer. Dg.o2006 will be held in southern California during the week of May 22, 2006. The Digital Government conference will act as a logistical umbrella: we will arrange for the venue and will help you provide your attendees with hotel rooms and any needed meals, as well as online registration services. And we can help publicize your conference to the DG community at large.
