** From: "Heru H MD, DSTHT, MSc" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Assalamu'alaikum wr wb Tidnakan "meluruskan tilang hidung" atau septoplasty biasanya dilakukan bila ada kecurigaan bahwa tulang hidung yg bengkok memberatkan sinusitisnya. Sebab tulang hidung yg bengkok akan menyebabkan pembesaran dari concha dan akan menutup lubang atau ostium dari sinus paranaal dan menyebabkan sinusitis. faktor lainnya seperti sudah saudara toni ketahui adalah alergy dan infeksi gigi. Banyak kasus yg sembuh sinusitisnya setelah fokal infeksi di giginya di perbaiki. Umunya ini baru tampak setelah di lakukan pemeriksaan panoramic gigi/ kalau kedua faktor ini tidak ada maka septoplasi merupakan indikasi kuat dan bila perlu juga di lakukan conchotomi atau mengecilakn bagian concha hidung yg membesar. Septoplasti tergolong operasi ringan dan dapat di lakukan oleh dokter THT dalam anastesi Lokal (tergantung apakah hanya septoplasti, jika perlu tindakan lain maka bious total lebih di anjurkan). Saya ingin mendapatkan informasi mengenai hasil pemeriksaan CT Scan saya. Berikut ini kutipan dari surat hasil pemeriksaan tsb: ---- Hasil pemeriksaan CT Scan Sinus paranasal potongan koronal, tanpa kontras dengan teknik jaringan lunak, hasil sbb: Tampak sedikit penebalan mukosa sinus maksilaris kanan sedangkan sinus-sinus paranasalis lainnya tampak masih normal. Septum nasi tampak deviasi ringan ke kiri. Konkha nasi inferior tampak hipertrofi terutama sebelah kanan. Tulang-tulang normal. Kesan: Sinusitus maksilaris kanan dengan septum deviasi dan hipertofi konkha. ---- Oleh dokter THT saya, disarankan untuk tindakan operasi meluruskan tulang hidung yg bengkok tersebut sehingga dapat mengurangi penyebab dari hidung tersumbat. Memang, selama ini lobang hidung sebelah kiri sering tersumbat dan tidak lancar untuk pernafasan. Cuma 3 bulan terakhir ini timbul rasa sakit di tulang hidung tengah kalau tertekan. Bahkan kadang-kadang bola mata sebelah kiri terasa ada duri di dalam. Terasa perih kalau kelopak mata saya tutup kuat-kuat. Apakah ada hubungannya? Ternyata hasil pemeriksaan mengatakan sudah tampak sedikit gejala sinusitus dan akan melebar kalau tidak diambil tindakan yg tepat. Pertanyaan saya, adalah: 1. Apa nama tindakan operasi tersebut? Nasal Surgery? Rhinoplasty? Septoplasty? 2. Termasuk kecil, sedang atau besar khan operasi tersebut? Berapa lama operasi itu sendiri? 3. Berapa % tingkat kesuksesan dari operasi tersebut dari pengalam selama ini? Kata dokternya, ini adalah kerjaan sehari-hari dari dokter THT. Benarkah? Ataukah perlu seorang ahli bedah khusus? 4. Apakah ada efek sampingan setelah operasi, misalnya seperti orang yg operasi hidung untuk kosmetika? Artinya, tidak boleh penjet hidung, kalau pilek ngak boleh mengeluarkan ingus keras-keras dsbnya. 8-) Mohon penjelasan dan informasinya. Maklum... saya awam dan sekalian untuk meluruskan mitos yg berkembang di masyarakat luas. 5. Akan makin beratkah penyakit sinus saya kalau tidak operasi? 6. Bolehkan saya meminta second opinion ke dokter THT lain? Kira-kira dimana? (kalau kurang etis, boleh langsung ke email saya pribadi, please.) 7. Dimanakah Rumah Sakit yang cukup 'baik' untuk operasi ini di Jakarta? Kalau harus berobat ke LN saya belum mampu dan lagian kok melecehkan 'skill' para dokter kita sendiri. Tapi saya ingin yg memang 'ahli' dalam hal ini. 8. Berapa lama masa penyembuhan/recovery? Apakah ada pantangan khusus, dsbnya. 9. Dan terakhir, perkiraan biaya min. s.d max. Saya benar-benar mengharapkan ada dokter di milis ini yg berkenan untuk menjawab pertanyaan saya di atas. Tambahan informasi akan sangat dihargai sekali. Sedikit OOT, gelar "Otorhinolaryngologist" itu untuk spesialis apa ya? Apakah punya keahlian untuk menangani operasi yg saya uraikan di atas? Terima kasih sebelumnya atas waktu yang diluangkan.
