In this case...Conneaut, Ohio.

FWIW: There's a FleaBay vendor who periodically advertises spare parts for the Astatic 1104/878 (Drake 7077) series microphones. I got a new mic element from the guy for $6 a year or so back...he also carries things such as switches, audio matching transformers, PTT bars and so forth. No affiliation; just figured I would pass along...

Does anone have any suggestions.

Take it apart. I've never disassembled a mic that I couldn't get back
together. These things were assembled by humans in a factory somewhere.
