   Good points, all.  I was tempted to respond to this guy, we've been 
hearing about hamfests dwindling for yrs, they've changed a bit around here, 
but Raleigh was very good, a nice thing to see, I hope they continue on 
Sat., I'll bet that had a lot to do with it.
   Anything from Craig yet?  He doesn't seem to read his email much during 
the weekdays.  I think he'll let me know when he contacts you.

Of late, I think the Ebay sales are dying away.

There's much less quality stuff on Ebay these days (and I'm a great Ebay 
prowler...). Lots more junk, and cables, and duped manuals and the like, 
far less
really nice stuff.  The change of Ebay rules, the increase in the cost of 
shipping (and the damage that comes free of charge) I think have affected 
Ebay.

OTOH, I'm happy to report the Raleigh hamfest last weekend was crammed, 
and all tables were sold out it was very crowded, and people were buying.

Demographics, economics, energy costs,  the "newness " of things all 
affect our niche hobby.

Take it or leave it Ebay and sites like it are here to stay ... but its 
sad that the hamfests are dying away because of it. If I had the choice I 
would rather have the hamfests back.
