Thanks Suri for sharing the good news. Just add new entries in excel and then 
you need to modify the java code by adding rs.getString("newExcelcolumnname"). 
If you encounter problems when you customize please let me know. I think the 
JDBC-ODBC error may be because the datasource may not be properly setup from 
windows control panel - administrative tools.

I am able to run the programme. It builds all the folders as desired to run 
batch import facilty of Dspace.
 
In case, we  have multiple values or repeatable fields such as keywords or 
authors. How we can make entries in EXcel file.  I have large amount of data 
which I would like to import into dspace.
