Apologies for the length of this post -- I am trying to describe the problem I'm encountering in as much detail as possible. Any help would be appreciated.
Description of environment: Dspace 1.5.1, using stock JSP pages, customised input-forms.xml and local controlled vocabulary. input-forms.xml and dspace.cfg are both modified from their original 1.5.1 form -- I have not overwritten any configuration files with their 1.4.2 counterparts. Description of problem: When the "Subject Categories" link is clicked (whether on my custom ANZSRC vocab field, or the stock srsc vocab under 'Subject Keywords'), I am seeing unusual behaviour compared to 1.4.2. I am also seeing unusual behaviour in the popup window itself. In IE6, the pop-up link does not work at all. (note: the link itself is also centre-justified) This is true for both the standard Subject Keywords field (using srsc) and my own ANZSRC Code field (using anzsrc.xml) In FF3, the pop-up link works (and is left-justified..) but subjects chosen do not populate the related field back in edit-metadata.jsp, and the popup window is not closed when a subject is chosen. HOWEVER, when "Add more" is clicked to get a repeated field, clicking a subject will populate the field in edit-metadata.jsp and close the popup window. If I edit input-forms.xml and change repeatable to 'false', clicking the subject will populate the Subject field properly as well, but this is not desirable (and doesn't address the IE problem). These links, and the popup itself function perfectly on my 1.4.2 instance under IE6 and FF3. I will also note that the "Help on Subject Categories" links work fine on both 1.4.2 and 1.5.1, under both IE6 and FF3. I have tried changing various things.. tested onebox, twobox, closed=false and closed=true, tested different vocabulary XML data, etc. I've also rebuilt Dspace since enabling controlled vocabularies in dspace.cfg. The only thing I can think of is some screwy javascript or HTML somewhere, since I'm getting different sorts of problems on different browsers, but I'm more than willing to accept that I've caused the problem. I just don't have a clue where.
