Do not use *either* for DX4WIN. Windows 7 and beyond place much more stringent protections on these directories. You may find that you will be unable to save your log and/or update data files. Install it as C:\DX4W7## (the path suggested by 8.05) or some other partition in your system, but do *not* install under Program Files. In fact, you do not really even need to install it, because DX4WIN does not use the Windows registry. Just copy your entire DX4W7## directory (including all subdirectories) from the XP machine to the Win7 machine. You can do this with a USB flash drive. Then simply create a shortcut on your desktop to run "dx4win.exe" in the new target directory. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, <jjreis...@alum.mit.edu>, http://www.ad1c.us ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
