I've thought about it.  Definitely possible, though I've never gotten
around to it.  Find a driver and some software that can listen to apple
remote events and fire a shell script.  Use #!/usr/bin/emacs --script in
the first line, some Emacs Lisp to start/stop music using EMMS, done.
