On or near 11/15/00 10:47 AM, Dan Crevier at [EMAIL PROTECTED] observed: > Strange... It's not intentional. I think it's mimicking return some how. > This actually happens in other apps too, including the Nav Services dialog. > For example, select Add Attachments, select a folder and then hit control-C. > You'll see it opens the folder (as if you hit return). > Ah! I think this must be it. I know I've seen Control-C and Return linked in other computer environments in the past. Control-C alone does it just as Cmd-Control-C does. I also have seen another combination (which escapes me at the moment) where Cmd-Control-letter is interpreted as if it were just Control-letter. Ah! I remember now: Control-N launches the script to make a note from a message; so does Cmd-Control-N, and it should not. I don't have KeyQuencer and never had it. I used to have QuicKeys, but not on this machine. However, I do have other things that intercept keystrokes, so I will play around with disabling them: SpellCatcher, TypeIt4Me, and Better Edit Keys. Anyone else displaying the Cmd-Control-C = open-it syndrome have any of these? There seem to be two problems here. One is clearly generic if it happens in file dialogs (Control-C = Return). The second, Cmd-Control = Control, seems to occur only in Entourage for me (haven't tested it elsewhere but haven't seen it anywhere else yet). -- Peace, Allen Watson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> XNS name: =Allen Watson A Mac family since 1984 My web page: <http://home.earthlink.net/~allenwatson/> -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To search the archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
