Entourage problems

I've just started to have problems with Entourage. It starts, but 
whenever I ask it to retrieve messages from the IMAP server, it comes 
back with HTTP Error: Access to resource is forbidden. I deleted the 
preferences file and restarted, didn't help. I can read mail using 
Eudora (which is what I am using now) but I can't read it with 
Entourage. Any suggestions would be much welcome.
