SR 1 update for office 2001, available at MacTopia website, fixes that
problem and many others. Install it now, if you haven't previously. But to
import into Eudora you still need to change the file type from "mbox" to
"TEXT". You can do that via File Buddy, or Snitch, or File Typer, or
AppleScript. Or you can use Allen Watson's Fix MBOX script from
 
AppleScript Central
