moving more than I intend

Sometimes I move read to "Deleted Items" or a mail folder by clicking on the
message and dragging it over to the relevant folder in the folder list.
Lately, this ends up transferring not only the message I am trying to move
but also the one above it.  No problem of this sort if I instead click on
the message and then choose where it should go in the Move menu.

I am running Entourage 9.0.1 in Classic using system 10.0.4 on a G4 with
lots of memory.  This problem seems to have started when I started using
system 10.
